Overview
In order to get TRA or DWLFM Type Approval in Bahrain for wireless devices, Local representative requests LoA/PoA letter from the client. The role of the local representative is to execute the application on behalf of the applicant in bahrain or the respective country. o Declaration of Conformity (DoC) from the manufacturer is required, which mentions the test standards adopted, which is complying with the regulations of Bahrain or the respective country under consideration. o Full technical documents and test reports indicating product electrical safety standards compliance to international telecommunication standards such as ITU, EU, ESTI and FCC including RF test Reports, Electromagnetic Compatibility Reports from accredited approval leading test labs are required (However it is not needed for the renewals).

Bahrain EWA’s Energy Efficiency certification applies to electrical equipment and appliances like Air Conditioners, Washing Machines, Refrigerators, lights and TVs. We will assist you to do applications for EED certifications after assessing the necessity for the certification from a regulatory requirement angle or marketing and sales point of view. Every country has different standards as in the case of US – Energy Star Rating, Bahrain has its own regulations. It is mandatory to do registration of air-conditioners for energy labelling & MEPS (Under “Regulation on Energy Labelling and Minimum Energy Performance requirements for Air-conditioners”), by following the guidelines set by the authority, by submitting Star label.
